When growing watermelons, how do you know when to pick them? Do you pick them when they are the right color, the right size, or the right age? Some people thump them by I haven’t had enough practive to learn the difference between green and overripe. I want mine to have all the sweetness and goodness it can possibily have. Look at the melon in this picture. It is big and dark but it is not ready to eat. How can I tell? I have been watching this one for 2 weeks now.
